Jene nete, el mundo de las aguas en la obra de Chonon Bensho: la complementación de los saberes ancestrales y la modernidad

This article proposes to analyze the world of waters in the plastic and poetic work of the shipibo-konibo artist Chonon Bensho in order to understand how ancestral knowledge and hegemonic modernity complement and dialogue in her aesthetic proposal. For this, two paintings and a poem linked to one of them are analysed, and the artist´s testimonies are taken into account. Thus, the process of re-signification of knowledge and the possibilities for conceiving a modernity that coexists with indigenous knowledge is addressed.
