Introduction to Perovskites

The goal of this chapter will be to briefly describe what we understand as “material with a perovskite structure” and then discuss some areas of interest outside the leading research trends (solar cells or ferroelectric substances). These properties will be related to the two essential characteristics of this “simple” and, at the same time, complex structure: its unmatching chemical and structural flexibility.
