Impact of the Geographical Coverage of the Financial System on the Performance of the “Reactiva Perú” Macrofinancial Policy
Resumen
The study explained how the coverage of the private financial system had repercussions on the performance of the “Reactiva Peru” macrofinancial policy. A quantile regression model was estimated that evaluated the effect of the number of agencies in the financial system on the number of beneficiaries of “Reactiva Peru” at the district level. It was obtained as a result that, although the geographical coverage of the financial system conditioned the performance of "Reactiva Peru", it was differentiated, and it was not a limitation for debtor companies located in districts without a presence in the financial system to access "Reactiva Peru". It was concluded that the heterogeneous presence of the financial system affected the performance of "Reactiva Peru", however, the contraction of credit was avoided.
