N2 - This study applies a structured technological surveillance methodology to examine global scientific and technological trends in dairy production and alternative products, focusing on their implications for the Peruvian dairy sector by 2030. Using a sequential explanatory mixed-method design, the analysis draws on patent data, peer-reviewed publications, and market reports to identify key drivers of disruption, notably the rise of plant-based and synthetic milk alternatives. The findings reveal a marked increase in research and development activities related to sustainability, nutritional enhancement, and production efficiency. The study also identifies emerging technologies with high potential for local adaptation and competitive advantage. Based on this evidence, a strategic action framework is proposed, integrating sustainability principles, innovation in processes and products, and alignment with public policy. The results underscore the relevance of technological surveillance as a decision-support tool for anticipating sectoral shifts and guiding adaptive strategies in response to global trends.
