The author found in the Andes of Peru, in the province of Canta of the Department of Lima, the theatre piece of Luis Vélez de Guevara, El cerco de Roma por el rey Desiderio. In Huamantanga, the residents represent this comedy of the Golden age since the times of the Viceroyalty of Peru. The play El cerco de Roma was brought by the missionaries for evangelization and is represented all the even years (2014, 2016, etc.).
