Resumen
The purpose of the study is to analyze experiences from the perspective of the managers of the Accreditation System of Academic Education Programs of Peruvian universities. For which, the inductive and interpretative methods were used according to the qualitative approach and the phenomenological design. The population was made up of managers of accredited Academic Education Programs from four universities and the sample was made up of six of them; while the theoretical sampling allowed the selection of 10 files from the accredited Programs. For data collection, the documentary analysis technique and the interview with their respective instruments were used: the documentary analysis matrix and the semi-structured interview guide. According to the experiences of the informant managers, the accreditation of Programs is associated with educational quality, which implies guiding actions related to the process of self-evaluation and external evaluation of the Programs according to the experiences with two Accreditation Models, where the first of 2009 it turned out to be bureaucratic, tiresome, unfriendly and focused on the person in charge; while the second, dating from 2016, is seen as agile, convening different actors and feasible from a systemic approach along the lines of educational quality associated with commitment, recognition and prestige, opportunities for continuous improvement in self-assessment, institutional self-regulation, and The sustainability.
