Resumen
This article analyzes the relationship between knowledge management and innovation capability in health institutions. The review of the literature allowed to identify and to establish the conceptual definition and contextualization of the determining variables that affect in the proposed relationship. The empirical study was carried out in high complexity hospitals in Colombia. The data was processed using the structural equation modeling (SEM) technique. The results show that the variables of the knowledge management (competitive environment, the flexible structure, the organizational culture, the learning climate, the exploration capacity and the exploitation capacity), are determinants and positively effects on the innovation capability in health institutions.
