Resumen
Radio frequency communication is one of the most important aspects of military operations. These devices allow information to be shared over long distances in a secure and encrypted manner. In developing countries, as is the case of Peru, investment in the acquisition of new military technologies is limited and there is little modern equipment in small quantities. Furthermore, this generates technological dependence within the armed forces, which limits their capacity for development. For this reason, the present work presents the application of the methodology of reverse design to develop a new software-defined UHF military radio equipment. The proposed design has the characteristics of international commercial equipment in terms of range, energy autonomy and military-grade resistance. The developed prototype has been validated to achieve communication of up to 800m, can use up to 16 channels, has autonomy of 3 hours of continuous use and impact resistance of up to 85m in height. The prototype developed has a cost of 400 USD.
