Resumen
A scalable procedure was developed to generate vibronic superpositions of mesoscopic states of N trapped ions. The ions were illuminated by two classical homogeneous Raman effective pulses. Optical rotating wave approximation (RWA) was used to determine the total hamiltonian of the system. The number of ions in the vibronic quantum state were limited by decoherence and by the capacity of producing lasers with high homogeneity. The analysis suggested that both even and odd coherent states of large amplitudes involving large number of ions could be prepared by using both dispersive and resonant bichromatic interaction.
