title = "M{\'e}todo de estabilizaci{\'o}n con cal en subrasantes para pavimentos r{\'i}gidos dise{\~n}ados por AASHTO 93 en proyectos viales con presencia de bofedales",
abstract = "The bofedales are wetlands that occur at more than 3500 masl, are characterized by being composed of supersaturated clays with plasticity indexes greater than ten and with high organic content. The stabilization of a soil with lime represents an option with great advantages, since it improves the behavior of the mechanical properties of the soil as the carrying capacity of the same (CBR or MR). The present investigation, has as approach to propose a stabilization alternative applied in bofedales with the purpose of evaluating the reduction of the structural package in a rigid pavement. This will generate an antecedent for the next stages of the project to be executed. The results showed that the stabilized subgrade increased its bearing capacity thus achieving the reduction of up to 25% of the thickness of the concrete slab with respect to the initial design proposed for the project.",
