Resumen
This research replicates the study on leadership styles' influence on the innovative behavior of Peruvian cadets by Norena-Chavez et al. (2021), using a sample of 200 students from the Instituto de Educacion Superior Tecnologico Publico del Ejercito in Lima, Peru. It employs the partial least squares modeling (PLS-SEM), confirming an influence of transformational and transactional leadership styles on the students' innovative behavior. According to the variance explained, transformational leadership explains 47% and transactional leadership 59% of the variability of innovative behavior. This research contributes to improving the understanding of the relationship between leadership styles and innovative behavior in the military.
