Resumen
This article evaluates the efficiency of Peruvian universities in scientific research, defined as the ability to transform resources into scientific production. Data Envelopment Analysis was the technique used in this work. Results demonstrate that a small amount of universities in Peru are efficient in research, showing also high dispersion in efficiency values. The evaluation provides useful elements for the allocation of public resources and efficient research funding.
