N2 - This paper presents a study aimed at designing and developing an innovative platform named ECOPACAYA 4.0 based on Tourism 4.0 that promotes ecotourism and scientific tourism, in addition to enhancing the tourist experience while offering visitors an immersive experience and preserving the fragile ecosystem of the Pacaya Samiria Amazon Lodge Private Reserve in the Amazon Jungle of Peru. The platform leverages technologies such as Augmented Reality (AR), Internet of Things (IoT), and cloud computing to provide automatic assistance on positioning while touring each Ecotrail, real-time information about the Ecolodge Private Reserve's physical environment, an online connection to visitors' social networks, and expert knowledge about the area's biodiversity and culture. This paper outlines the conceptual approach of the ECOPACAYA 4.0 platform, including its technological architecture, telecommunications network architecture, telecommunications infrastructure, local connectivity system for calls, AR Application, Biodiversity Portal, evaluation, and results. Moreover, the platform creates a sustainable model of tourism that benefits the local community by creating jobs, promoting the use of renewable energy, and supporting local businesses. The platform's success relies on the collaboration between the tourism industry, local communities, and government agencies to ensure the sustainable use of natural resources and preserve the fragile ecosystem of the Amazon Jungle. This study offers insights into the possibilities of Industry 4.0 technologies in ecotourism and contributes to the discourse on sustainable tourism practices.
