N2 - Attending urban fires in high buildings is complicated due to challenges in accessing fire areas and the lack of related information. Specifically, in the capital of Peru, Lima, with increases in building floors during recent years and the availability of only one telescopic ladder, such tasks are even more challenging. This article proposes integrating a commercial drone with a fire extinguisher ball mechanism, which stores three balls launched horizontally. This system is connected to a cloud-hosted web interface leveraging an Amazon Web Services (AWS) software architecture, developed with version three of the Attribute Driven Design (ADD) methodology. Drone-related data monitoring and mechanism controls are performed through this web interface. The system also incorporates a camera leveraging the You Only Look Once X (YOLOX) algorithm to detect people’s presence within the urban fire’s event field.
