N2 - The Peruvian fishing sector, crucial to the national economy, depends largely on the efficiency of its ships, particularly in the configuration of the propulsion system. The lack of research in this field has led to inefficient operations, resulting in economic losses and limiting fishing days. This research focuses on the analysis of the trawling of “Pangas”, essential ships in both industrial and artisanal fishing. Given the importance of artisanal fishermen, this sector becomes the main focus. The methodology uses Ansys Fluent computational methods, validating boundary conditions with experimental references. Five pangas are analyzed, revealing drag force curves, coefficients and relationships between speed and resistance, providing crucial data to improve efficiency in the artisanal fishing sector.
