Resumen
Prostate cancer (PCa) is the second most incident and the second highest cause of death in cancer patients worldwide. For the past threedecades, elastographic imaging techniques have been researched and presented as a promising method for PCa detection. Several qualitative and quantitative approaches that identify the elastic properties of healthy and abnormal tissues have been proposed and validated ex vivo and in vivo for their potential for clinical translation. In this chapter, a review of the most representative elastographic methods found in the literature is presented.
