Resumen

The paper describes a comparative study among BBN, PBN and ST jamming strategies against global positioning system (GPS), specifically for a Coarse Acquisition (C/A) signal. In addition, the design, implementation and first tests of a jammer based on this study were realized, which in future works can be used as a mechanism to block the navigation signal of UAVs. To achieve the comparative study, both the parameters of the target signal and mathematical models were used to estimate the effects of the jamming strategies on the signal; as a result, the most suitable is the ST jamming. On the other hand, a helix antenna was designed and implemented for this jammer. Finally, the first tests resulted in the jammer capable of completely blocking the GPS signal of a mobile phone located 60 meters away, with an estimated JSR of 83.6 dB.
