N2 - In Peru, engineering programs are accredited through the Instituto de Calidad y Acreditación de Programas de Computación, Ingeniería y Tecnología (ICACIT), and the most important source for determining conformity with the ICACIT model is the self-study report (SSR). From the perspective of the evaluatees, the SSR requires much effort to prepare and elicits a high degree of uncertainty about whether the SSR is the correct one. From the evaluators' perspective, SSRs are incomplete, and it requires much effort to link facts to the expected ICACIT model. An analysis of the Student Criterion Section of the SSR template is presented in this study from the synergistic perspective of the evaluatees and evaluators, using a set of guidelines for writing ISO standards. Improvements to the SSR template provide new descriptions that better reflect the model's expectations of the model. These improvements help evaluatees and evaluators interact with SSRs.
