Resumen
Studies of the atmospheric corrosion of carbon steel performed in the Peruvian city of Cuzco as part of the Ibero-American Map of Atmospheric Corrosiveness (MICAT) project provided extremely low corrosion values, the lowest ever reported in the literature. In this paper the authors show this peculiar behaviour and comment on its plausible causes. © 1993.
