Getty Seismic Retrofitting Project

The Project is in the middle of its implementation phase, which includes the implementation of retrofitting techniques as part of model conservation projects, including a maintenance and monitoring plan in collaboration with TechMinho (Getty consultant) for two of the four SRP building prototypes - Ica Cathedral and the Church of Kuñotambo. Similarly, the Project is entering its dissemination phase, which includes the development of the retrofitting and repair guidelines for historic earthen buildings to be adopted by Getty partner the Ministerio de Cultura del Perú (“Ministerio”).

1.- Collaborate with the Getty and the Ministerio in the development of guidelines for the seismic retrofitting of earthen historic structures in Peru. Phase 1 of the guidelines’ development will involve providing the services of up to two (2) PUCP-Lab professionals engineers. 2.- Update the construction documents of the structural section of the Project (including but not limited to drawings, technical specification, and budget) for the conservation and seismic retrofitting of Ica Cathedral.

1. The jointly developed guidelines table of contents and budget for Phase 2 of the development of guidelines not later than June 30, 2021. 2. The structural section of the Ica Cathedral construction documents in digital format and one (1) hard copy in a scale jointly agreed upon by the parties not later than December 31, 2021. 3. The final manuscript of the SRP guidelines and budget for their presentations and dissemination.
