El territorio como soporte hídrico-ecológico: infraestructuras azul-verde (BGI) para el ordenamiento territorial de un paisaje agrícola en el valle bajo del río Lurín, Lima
Resumen
Lima, a megacity located within a naturally desert territory shaped by millenary agricultural landscapes, faces a critical paradox: its urban expansion is advancing over its last fertile valley while water scarcity and food insecurity continue to intensify. This study proposes a reinterpretation of the lower Lurín River valley as a hydro-ecological support system and examines the potential of its historical water network as a living infrastructure capable of structuring a territorial blue-green infrastructure (BGI) strategy. The research is based on a cartographic approach, spatial analysis, and documentary review. It identifies the capacity of ancestral water networks to articulate soil, vegetation, and ecosystem services with contemporary devices—such as agricultural reservoirs, ecological corridors, and buffer edges—aimed at strengthening water and climate resilience.
