Concertación: Integrated Planning and Development in Peru

The transition to sustainable development requires societies to balance social, economic, and environmental objectives. In terms of politics and policy development, this transition can be a negotiation and learning process, with diverse societal groups from government, business, and civil society attempting to * Reconcile their various economic, environmental, and social needs and interests; * Reach agreement on a common development vision; and * Undertake concerted action to realize that vision through both collective action and coordinated individual initiative.
