Basic Concepts of Ecology Applied on the Neotropic Ecosystems

This chapter revises the basic concepts of ecology with emphasis on ecosystems and species adaptations. It includes concepts of ecology applied to the study of ecosystems and describes their physical and biological structure. It studies biotic communities, populations, individual species, and their influence on biodiversity with emphasis on the neotropical environments.
