Study of Automation in Logistics Operators: Technologies, Challenges, and Opportunities

With the advancement of globalization, logistics warehouses represent a key component within the global supply chain. There is a growing demand from consumers who increasingly expect shorter delivery times and higher levels of service quality, making it essential for companies to focus on optimizing their processes. Therefore, the objective of this study is to analyze the application of the main technological automation tools in logistics warehouses. To achieve this, a qualitative analysis of successful cases is conducted, evaluating the variables of each case and their feasibility of implementation. In the process, both the potential benefits and the implementation conditions of each tool are examined. Finally, the results indicate that the implementation of automation tools contributes to reducing operation times, minimizing human errors, among other goals. Automation is an efficient measure to ensure better business performance; however, it is important to analyze the variables that enable proper implementation for each specific case.
