Generative AI in the Software Development Process: A Practical Approach

The workshop “Generative AI in the Software Development Process: A Practical Approach” offers a four-hour hands-on immersion into how generative artificial intelligence is transforming the software development lifecycle. Attendees will learn how to apply key tools and methodologies, such as the ROCEF method for creating effective prompts and the use of assistants such as GitHub Copilot. Through a series of hands-on, collaborative activities, participants will explore the application of generative AI in activities such as requirements gathering, prototyping, coding, and test case specification and creation. By the end, teams will have a comprehensive understanding of how to use these tools and will have discussed the ethical considerations essential to their responsible use.
