Resumen

Background: Pecan agro-exporting constitutes a high-growth activity within the Peruvian agricultural sector; however, it faces significant challenges regarding production costs, operational efficiency, and corporate competitiveness. Objective: This study evaluates strategic alternatives aimed at increasing the profitability of Emporium Import Export S.A.C. through a financial scenario analysis involving harvest mechanization, the acquisition of proprietary crops, and market diversification in the Ica region, Peru. Methodology: A quantitative research approach was employed, utilizing a descriptive-explanatory scope and a non-experimental design. Strategic diagnostic tools, including SWOT analysis, a cause prioritization matrix, and an Ishikawa diagram, were applied and complemented by a comparative financial evaluation of four strategic scenarios. Results: The results demonstrate that the mechanical harvesting scenario (Scenario B) achieved the highest economic viability, yielding an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 58%, which exceeds the Opportunity Cost of Capital (52%), and a Net Present Value (NPV) of S/ 4,047,573.28. Furthermore, this alternative reduced costs per kilogram by approximately 80% compared to manual methods. Conclusions: Harvest mechanization represents the most efficient strategy for enhancing the profitability of the agro-exporting firm analyzed. Its implementation optimizes operating costs, strengthens competitiveness, and creates favorable conditions for the business's long-term financial sustainability.
