Abstract

We report closed-form expressions in which weak values show up in connection with both weak and strong measurements. The regime of strong coupling between pointer and system is thereby made available to weak-value measurements. As an application, we propose an all-optical setup that could be used with both single photons and optical light beams. Moreover, the theoretical results we report should provide some more insight into the physical content of weak values.
