Abstract

In the central Andes, the Altiplano-Puna is a high plateau, the development of which is still poorly understood. New field and subsurface data permit us to show that the southeastern part of the Altiplano functioned as an intermontane foreland basin during Late Oligocene and Miocene times. There is an abridged English version. -English summary
