Abstract

This paper describes a set of experimental tests for through-wall detection based on FMCW radar. For this purpose, a FMCW radar was implemented at 2.4 GHz and the acquired data is processed with an in-house real-time software to enhance the results. The experimental measurements were evaluated indoors to study and analyze the performance of the system. There is a good agreement between the position indicated by the processed data and the actual target location for a range less than 5 meters with a resolution of 30 cm.
