Abstract

This paper presents the results of 20 experiences of Peruvian libraries working for the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) approved in 2015. The results show the activities registered until May 15, 2017. The study analyzes the following variables for the participating institutions: type of institution, scope of the experience, dates of intervention, place of execution, description of the experience, objectives to achieve, beneficiaries, and institutions participating in the program, among others. The results show that most libraries offer services that support SDG 4: quality education to all, which obtains 13 mentions, followed by SDG 16, which seeks peaceful societies and advocates for human rights and public access to information. Although the number of responses is not significant, we can conclude that the experiences recorded show that Peruvian libraries are effectively contributing to the achievement of SDGs and the 2030 Agenda is the road map for the development of the country with the support of library services.
