Abstract

This research paper analyzes 31 articles published between 2016 and 2022, aiming to determine the impact of Blockchain technology on the maritime transport of goods. The study of exploratory scope, qualitative approach and theoretical design based on systematic review and the method of analysis (detection, consultation, extraction, and integration of data). As a result, it was determined that Blockchain allows to support logistics operations, in transport and throughout the supply chain. Among the important factors are efficiency, profitability, safety, traceability, and environmental sustainability in companies in the maritime sector. One of the concerns is the shortage of professionals specialized in blockchain which prevents the fast and low-cost incorporation in organizations.
