The application of surveys was done in the historical and traditional zone of the city called "Damero of Pizarro". Simultaneously they were carried out measurements of the noise generated by automotive traffic flow. The historical center of Lima has a critical problem of environmental noise. The noise levels are above limits of the national normative and the World Health Organization (WHO) recommendations [1]. The studies were carried out to three objective groups: neighbors, professors and students. The noise levels in the study area are very high. In the residential areas 52% of the interviewees manifests that the automotive traffic flow is the main source of noise, followed by the noises produced by the neighbors (20%).
