Digital competence is key in the training of university students because they will be the future professionals of the knowledge society; therefore, its measurement is essential. The objective of the research is to evaluate the psychometric properties of the Digital Competence Questionnaire, with 20 items and based on the international standards of the ISTE and DigComp, to validate it and apply it in the Peruvian university context. The methodology applies a quantitative approach, with a non-probabilistic sample of 248 students from the professional career of Human Medicine. The results show a reliability by Cronbach's Alpha and McDonald's Omega of .91, for the total scale, and between .83 and .94 for its five dimensions: Technological literacy, Communication and collaboration, Search and processing of information, Digital citizenship, and Creativity and innovation. The Diagonally Weighted Least Squares method demonstrated the validity of the instrument. The adjustment statistics of the confirmatory factor analysis showed its adequacy to the five-factor model, but with 18 items, with factorial weights of the items between .73 and .93. It is concluded that the questionnaire is valid and reliable for measuring the construct in Peruvian university students of health sciences.
