Abstract
Summarises the archaeological investigations which were undertaken in the study. Describes the study area and the material which was available prior to ceramics. Reviews the formative period, early intermediate period, the mid-horizontal and late horizontal periods. Concludes with the objectives of the investigations of the archaeological mission to Alta Piura. -S.J.Yates
