Abstract

This article reflects on the characteristics of the aesthetic-political device that the use of Instagram by young Peruvians adopts during the protests that took place in November 2020, in Lima and other cities in Peru. From a qualitative approach and the critical and interpretive analysis of the images and texts of the Rupachay Instagram, profile of one of the young participants, it seeks to explain the sayings, feelings and actions that reveal the political narratives of young people in Peru today. This analysis is complemented with contextual information from an interview with the author of the images. Despite their transgressive nature, the images and texts shown there articulate a different view of the ways of doing politics today in Peru, expressing that another world is possible.
