Abstract
We present a model based on local spherical periodic order of disordered systems. The spherical arrangements act as equidistant concentrical mirror spheres for electrons as well as dynamic excitations. As a result new localized states occur with electrons, dynamic excitations as well as the static structure itself resonantly coupled to each other. Their T-dependent occupation affects the scattering of itinerant quasi-particles and hence the transport properties, as well as the lattice specific heat versus T. © 2002 Elsevier Science B.V.
