Abstract
The aim of this study was to assess the psychometric properties of the Cuestionario de Estilos de Vida de Jóvenes Universitarios-CEV-JU. 281 male and female students with ages between 16 and 24 years old from Lima Peru participated in this study. Exploratory factor analysis and Logistic regression analysis with a measurement of general health were assessed. Results showed that 30 items were reliable and had an adequate factor solution. The new questionnaire was named CEVJU - r Lima. Convergent validity showed that Self-rated health correlated with physical activity, sleep and leisure time. In the regression model only physical activity showed a relationship with self-perceived health. This study is useful to gather more information about psychometric tools that measure health behaviors. This field requires more research in order to have effective instruments that measure this type of variables.
