Abstract

As part of the industrial security tasks, the correct control of the activities of a product warehouse must be supported by means of closed-circuit camera surveillance systems (CCTV) on a permanent basis. The location of these devices must be sufficiently adequate to cover all positions of such facilities, minimizing blind spots and the number of video cameras used. Artificial intelligence-based or bio-inspired algorithms are hardly used for their optimized arrangement. Present paper shows the development of a Spider Monkey (SMO) algorithm for the efficient distribution of these video cameras.
