Abstract

This paper describes the design, implementation and experimental results of a Station for remote monitoring quality of non-domestic wastewater composed by an array of sensors, solar energy storage system and easy transportation structure. The station is capable of monitoring continuously in programmable intervals of time the concentration of substances that are dissolved in the water by means of the measurement of the following parameters: organic matter, pH, dissolved oxygen and conductivity. All the values obtained by the arrangement of sensors can be visualized from a Smartphone, or computer. The station's monitoring can alert if the level of some parameter measured by the sensors array exceeds the level established in the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP). Therefore it's possible to have a continuous control over non-domestic wastewater.
