Constitutional question of the appointment of provisional judges and judicial independence in the Supreme Court of Peru

Abstract

The article analyzes how the system of appointment of provisional supreme judges in Peru violates the principle of judicial independence enshrined in constitutional norms and the standards of International Human Rights Law, for which it also consults the case-law of the Inter-American Court Human Rights and the Constitutional Court. It proposes corrections.
