Abstract

The objective of this article is to characterize the organizational change in commercial SMEs in Lima, Peru. The research highlights the factors and elements of organizational change, as well as some models of organizational change that describe the innovation process. The research is of a descriptive nature, the sample is of a non-representative type, for which a questionnaire with a Likert scale was applied to 27 commercial SMEs. Among the results of the research, they highlight that the organizational change in SMEs in Lima is characterized by being heterogeneous, poorly planned and with poorly trained leadership to direct it. However, organizations show high levels of adaptation and competitiveness in the market, being immersed in dynamic and constantly changing environments. It is concluded that organizational change in SMEs in Lima is characterized by being heterogeneous, unplanned and with poorly trained leadership to adequately address it.
