Abstract

The purpose of the study was to analyze, through a quasi-experimental approach, the influence of a board game in the learning of economics for non-economist university students. Surveys were applied and information was collected on the performance of the students from the management career at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru during the first semester of 2019. The students were divided into two groups: an experimental group, which used the game, and a control group, which maintained conventional academic activities. As a result, the experimental group not only presented a better performance in the area of academic activity, but the game also had a positive effect on the exam averages and the students’ self-perceptions of their own learning.
