Description

SIN RESUMEN

General Objective

To develop a predictive model based on industrial ecology and machine learning to estimate municipal solid waste (MSW) generation in Metropolitan Lima.

Specific Objectives

OE1: Analyze MSW generation patterns in Metropolitan Lima, identifying trends and key factors influencing waste production. OE2: Identify socioeconomic, environmental, and operational variables affecting waste generation in the urban context of Latin America. OE3: Apply advanced machine learning techniques, such as random forest and neural networks, to improve the accuracy of waste generation predictions. OE4: Compare the developed model with predictive systems used in Austria, evaluating its applicability and potential adaptation for Metropolitan Lima. OE5: Validate the predictive model in Metropolitan Lima using historical and updated data, generating recommendations for its implementation in public waste management policies.
